Theater aan de Parade is a well-known cultural stage in the heart of ’ ''s-Hertogenbosch, offering a vibrant mix of music, theater, and live performances. As a cultural cornerstone for the city, the theater wanted its digital presence to reflect the same energy, creativity, and accessibility it brings to its audience. The challenge was to create a modern website that not only looked beautiful but worked seamlessly for all visitors, from casual browsers to passionate theatergoers.
The theater’s old website no longer matched its modern spirit. Built on an outdated version of Symfony and without responsive design, it was difficult to maintain and adjust. Performance and security issues also posed risks, and the overall user experience made it hard for visitors to find upcoming events. With limited resources after bankruptcy, the goal was clear: rebuild the digital stage within budget, while keeping the brand’s artistic identity intact.
We upgraded the platform to the latest Symfony version and rebuilt the front end using Bootstrap for a fully responsive and maintainable design. The new structure made it easier to manage content, improve performance, and ensure long-term stability. Close collaboration with the theater team was key; we communicated directly, translated their specifications into development goals, and iterated together until every detail felt right. The result is a website that’s not only technically sound but also visually in tune with the theater’s creative character.
The renewed website now reflects Theater aan de Parade’s modern identity while offering a far better user experience. The agenda is easier to navigate, the search engine is smarter, and more visitors now check upcoming events online. With improved performance and security, the platform is future-proof and easy to manage. Built on Symfony, the website continues to evolve, with new features like custom redirects, pagination, and a location filter already in development to support marketing goals.
