Where the Story Begins

De Netherlands Bach Society is a prestigious vocal and instrumental ensemble with international recognition. Founded in 1921 to perform Bach’s Matthäus Passion in the Grote Kerk in Naarden, the ensemble has grown into a professional group of musicians and singers dedicated to keeping the work of Bach and his contemporaries alive.

With a rich musical heritage and a strong artistic mission, the Bachvereniging continuously seeks new ways to connect with audiences and share their passion for classical music, both with loyal listeners and new generations.

The problem

The existing website no longer reflected the quality, depth, and passion of the Bach Society’s work. It did not meet modern expectations in terms of usability, visual appeal, or storytelling. Visitors struggled to find information easily, and the overall experience lacked the inspiration needed to engage a younger audience. To strengthen their digital presence, the Bachvereniging needed a platform that could translate their musical legacy into a contemporary online experience.

The solution

We chose to redesign the front end of the website with a strong focus on clarity, usability, and visual storytelling. The new design brings the music and history of Bach to the foreground, while offering a clean and intuitive interface. By combining a modern visual style with logical navigation, the website now allows visitors to quickly find concerts, background information, and musical content. The renewed design enables the Bachvereniging to present their passion for Bach’s music in a way that feels both timeless and contemporary.
