Where the story begins

Alka® is the acid-base specialist: basic supplements, herbal tea and skincare, with personal advice from its own specialists. The products go directly to customers and, through sales reps and resellers, to shops, pharmacies and therapists. That operation ran on standard software, with Exact at its core. A solid base, but there was room to connect processes better and automate more.

Separate processes that didn't talk to each other

As Alka grew, more and more processes ran past one another. Order picking, representatives, resellers: each ran in its own way, without one place where everything came together. Anyone who needed something from another process had to ask around or look it up separately. That created needless friction and made a clear overview hard to keep. Alka wanted to connect those separate parts into one whole, without the daily operation suffering for it.

One back-office system, linked to Exact via API

Together with Alka we built a back-office system that fits their day-to-day practice. Through API connections with Exact and other systems, all the data comes together in one place. Staff across different teams always work with current information, rather than each with their own version of it. And smart software for order processing and printer control makes the logistics run more smoothly, from order to dispatch.

Alka's digital environment has grown into a stable, flexible foundation for the whole organisation. Everything now sits in one place, which brings structure to the core processes and makes faster work possible. The different sales channels come together in the same system, so the overview is there without extra effort. Through the close collaboration and ongoing support, improvements come in at a high pace. That leaves Alka more time for what it's all about: helping customers to more balance.
